Silvia Congia
Biography

Born in Cagliari, Italy, Silvia Congia studied violin in her hometown’s Conservatory “G. P. da Palestrina”.
After finishing her studies in Italy she entered the Royal Music Conservatory of Ghent, Belgium. There she studied with Alessandro Moccia, obtaining a Master Degree in Violin in 2022 and a Postgraduate Degree in Musical Performance in 2023.
Later, she attended a Post-Master Course at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, with Aki Saulière, with a special focus on historically informed performance of violin solo repertoire.
Since July 2024 she is an academist in the Nouvelle Odyssée Européenne project launched by Orchestre des Champs-Élysées.
She is currently enrolled in the Master Course of Musicology at the University of Pavia.
She is particularly passionate about chamber music: during her studies in Cagliari and Ghent she approached the study of some among the major works especially for for piano trio and quintet with clarinet, often performing them in festivals in Italy and Belgium.
Some solo performances with orchestra include Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for violin and viola, in Ghent and in Cagliari, and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto op.64 with the Symphony Orchestra KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent.
She attended various specialization Masterclasses under Felice Cusano, Marc Danel, Daniil Austrich, Olivier Charlier, Igor Volochine, Jean Marc Phillips-Varjabedian.

She is a student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica ETS since 2025.
