Chiara Boido, born in Alessandria in 2002, began studying cello at the age of 5. In 2007 she began the Musical and Instrumental Preparatory Course and the Specific-Intensive Course at the “A. Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria. In 2012 she was admitted to the class of Maestro Claudio Merlo, where she completed the Pre-Academic Course in 2018. In the same year she was admitted to the Three-Year Cello Course at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Turin, under the guidance of Maestro Dario Destefano. She will graduate this year. In 2016 she participated in the Masterclass “Vacanze musicali” held in Badesi under the guidance of Maestro Marco Scano. In the same year she participated in a Masterclass at the International Cello Institute at Concordia University in Saint Paul, Minneapolis. In 2017 she attended the advanced music course “Musica nel Chiostro” in Rovato directed by Maestro Marco Scano. From 2017 to 2019 she was part of the String Ensemble of the Lorenzo Perosi Civic Chamber Music Academy directed by Maestro Vittorio Marchese. In 2018 she recorded the soundtrack of Andrea Basevi’s book of fairy tales entitled “Il Canto degli Alberi” with the Liguria Regional Youth Orchestra directed by Maestro Vittorio Marchese. In the same year she played as a co-soloist in a series of five concerts the Vivaldi Double Concerto, accompanied by the chamber orchestra of the Turin Conservatory. In 2020 she obtained her high school diploma from the “Massimo d’Azeglio” classical high school in Turin. She obtained her three-year diploma in 2022 from the Turin Conservatory. In the same year, he won the Open Source scholarship at the Pinerolo Music Academy and attended the Advanced Studies course with Maestro Patrick Demenga. In the same year he won the “Luciano Bettini” scholarship for merit. He participated in masterclasses with teachers such as Claudio Pasceri, Enrico Dindo, Mark Summer, Laura Sewell, Enrico Bronzi. He also participated in chamber music masterclasses with Maestro Christophe Giovaninetti, Jacopo Francini, Carlo Fabiano and Johannes Meissl. In 2023 he participated in a duo (cello and piano) in the chamber music masterclass at the Chigiana Music Academy with Maestro Bruno Giuranna. In the same year he participated in the chamber music course with the Trio di Parma at the Pinerolo Music Academy. He accompanies Maestro Enrico Dindo in two concerts with the Academy orchestra, followed by Maestro Alessandro Milani. She currently collaborates with the Italian Youth Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, the Orchestra 1813 of the Italian Opera and Concert Association at the Teatro Sociale in Como and the Symphony Orchestra of Asti. She graduated with top marks from the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory in Turin with Professor Cecilia Radic.
She is a student of Fondazione Accademia di Musica 2022.
