Alessandro Cadario
Biography

An eclectic musician in his repertoire, since 2016 he has held the role of Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan. He has conducted in the seasons of the most important Italian and international opera houses and festivals, appearing on the podium of orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, the Russian National Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the La Fenice Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, and the Orchestra of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. In 2015 he made his debut at La Scala in Milan on the occasion of the Festival of International Orchestras. In 2017 he was chosen by the Presidency of the Senate to conduct the Christmas concert – live on RAI 1 from the Senate Hall. In 2018 he made his debut in the symphonic season of the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and the Regio in Turin with Verdi’s Quattro pezzi sacri. In 2019 he conducted Bellini’s Norma at the Croatian National Theatre, Rossini’s Cenerentola and Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker at the Massimo in Palermo. He also opened the symphony season of the Fondazione Arena di Verona. In the 2020/2021 season he made his debut at the Rossini Opera Festival with Il viaggio a Reims, conducted Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore and a new production of Pergolesi’s La serva padrona / Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti at the Carlo Felice in Genoa. In the 2021/2022 season he made his debut at the Royal Opera House in Muscat and at the 48th Festival della Valle d’Itria, returned to the podium of the Orchestra del Regio in Turin, the Massimo in Palermo, the Fondazione Arena di Verona and made his debut on the Tuscan circuit with Mozart’s Don Giovanni. In the 2022/23 season he made his debut with the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra in Handel’s Messiah and with the Rome Opera at Caracalla, conducting Nureyev’s Cenerentola, and conducted the premiere of Fabio Vacchi’s opera Jean Dark at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival with great success. Last November he conducted Giselle at the Liège Opera during the tour of the Corps de Ballet of the Capitoline Foundation. Graduated in conducting with top marks at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan, he perfected his skills at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and obtained diplomas in violin, choir conducting and composition. He is passionate about astrophysics and quantum physics.
