Daniela Carapelli
Biography

Born in Florence in 1953, Daniela Carapelli graduated with honours in piano in 1971 at the Conservatory of Genoa “N. Paganini”, under the guidance of Gianni Ramous; later she completed her studies with Guido Agosti at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and completed her training by studying composition with Carlo Mosso, at the “A. Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria, obtaining here the diploma in Music Education.

Awarded in several national and international competitions, she has performed concerts on behalf of important musical associations and recorded for the major European radio and television networks.

At a very young age she dedicated also to chamber music, obtaining the first absolute prize in the international competition in Aberdeen (Scotland) in 1975.

Of particular importance is the activity in piano duo that led her to deepen almost all the specific repertoire and to measure herself with different contemporary pages.

Tenured professor of piano since 1975, he has taught at the Conservatories of Cosenza, Alessandria and Turin until 2018.

Moreover, she held masterclasses and specialization courses on technical-interpretative issues in the execution of J.S. Bach’s music.

She has been a member of commissions in national and international competitions on several occasions, and was President of the 7th International Music Competition for Young Performers “Città di Chieri”, holded in Chieri (Turin) in 2007.

In 2006 she was Ministerial Commissioner at the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato “F. Vittadini ”of Pavia.

She is currently the artistic consultant for the Circolo Cameristico Piemontese.
