Leonardo Lupidii, 17, began studying violin at age seven with his father Gianfranco Lupidii and is currently enrolled in the final year of the three-year violin program at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome under the guidance of Antonio De Secondi. For three years, he has been studying with Carlo Parazzoli and has attended masterclasses with Oleksandr Semchuk and Ksenia Milas, as well as quartet masterclasses with Andrea Vio.
He won first prize at the 2019 “Città di Latina” competition, the 2022 “Ortona Città d’arte” music competition, the 2023 “Friends of Music” Bernalda international competition, the 2024 “San Vigilio in…canto” competition, and won first prize at the 2018 “Momenti Musicali” competition in Tivoli, the 2023 “Premio Lizori” competition in Campello sul Clitunno, the 2023 “Lams Award” in Matera, the 2024 “7 Note Romane” national music competition, and the 2024 “Anxanum Music Awards” music competition in Lanciano.
Since 2025, he has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra of the Italian Conservatories, with which he has performed concerts at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia and the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, under the direction of Michele Spotti and Diego Ceretta.
He is currently a member of the First Violins of the JuniOrchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, with which he has performed several concerts, including with soloists such as Stefano Bollani, Michele Campanella, Giuseppe Gibboni, and Giovanni Sollima. He was also selected to participate in the Rome Film Fest.
Since 2024, he has collaborated with the “Benedetto Marcello Chamber Orchestra” of Teramo, with which he has performed several concerts.
He has been a student at the Fondazione Accademia di Musica since 2026.
