Sara Tellini began studying the violin at the age of seven at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, first under the guidance of Céline Ifergan and, from 2010, of Leonardo Matucci.
In 2010 she was awarded the “Coccinelle d’oro” scholarship at the music school and the following year the “Coccinelle d’oro” scholarship for the basic course, also playing at the winners’ awards ceremony.
Sara has taken part in various masterclasses for both solo violin and chamber music: in 2012 at the “Summer Campus for Young Musicians” in Lucca with Maestros Domenico Mason and Marina Keselman; the same year she attended chamber music lessons in San Polo d’Enza (Reggio Emilia) under the guidance of Maestros Tiziano Mealli, Andrea Repetto, Andrea Nannoni and Antonello Farulli.
She has also received prizes at various competitions, such as the “Crescendo” (including a first prize in June 2022), the “Concorso Nazionale di Esecuzione Musicale” in the city of Empoli and the “Concorso Ciro Pinsuti” in Sinalunga; in March 2019 she was awarded a scholarship at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole; in September 2022 she won two scholarships at the international competition “Claudio Scimone” in Padova.
From 2013 to 2017 she attended chamber music lessons, for duo, with Maestro Tiziano Mealli, and for solo violin with Maestro Alberto Bologni, in San Donato in Poggio (FI).
In 2016 she entered the class of Pavel Vernikov and Svetlana Makarova (with assistants Igor Volochine and Jana Ozolina) at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Bergamo, and in 2019 she took part in one of their masterclasses at the European Music Institute in Vienna.
Sara played with the Contr’arco Quartet, with whom in 2018 she won the scholarship, at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, as “Best Chamber Group”. In the 2019/2020 school year she
took part in the Accademia del Quartetto under the guidance of Maestros Andrea Nannoni, Luc-Marie Aguera and Christophe Giovaninetti.
At the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole Sara was able to deepen her orchestral experience and with the ensembles of the Scuola she played in important halls such as the Teatro del Maggio Fiorentino, the Teatro della Pergola in Florence and the Goldener Saal of the Musikverein in Vienna.
Sara graduated in December 2020 with top marks and honours from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
During the years 2020/2021 she attended Klaidi Sahatçi’s lessons at Sincronia Musica in Rome and at the Accademia I Musici di Parma in Salsomaggiore (with whom she performed as a soloist in July 2022) and since September 2021 she has been studying under the guidance of Maestro Sahatçi at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana (Lugano). In December 2021 she played in a concert in collaboration with the composer Andrea Molino and the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana at the Lac in Lugano.
