Martina Giordani is an Italian pianist and teacher.
Raised in a family of musical traditions, she began studying piano at a very young age, debuting in 2008 as a soloist at the “Sala Puccini” of the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan in a concert organized by the prestigious “Società dei Concerti” of Milan. At the age of 13 she made her debut as a soloist with the “Mannheimer Ensemble” orchestra and at the age of 15 with the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana performing Beethoven’s Concerto No. 3.
In 2004 she started studying at the Conservatory “G.B. Pergolesi” in Ancona under the guidance of the pianist Lorenzo Di Bella, earning in 2013 the diploma in Piano cum laude and special mention. In 2015 she graduated with the highest marks in Music Education (second-level biennial) at the State Conservatory of Music “G. Rossini” in Pesaro. In 2022 she graduated cum laude (academic course of Piano) at the Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan, in the class of Silvia Rumi. She attended masterclasses with great musicians such as Bruno Canino, Alexander Romanovsky, Piero Rattalino, Benedetto Lupo, Enrico Pace, Piernarciso Masi, Roberto Plano, Gianluca Luisi, Roberto Cappello, Andrea Lucchesini, Uwe Brandt, Gary Graffman, Svetlana Bogino, Mats Widlund, Ivan Donchev. She also attended the masterclass of M. Konstantin Bogino at the International Musical Academy in Rome and the M. Di Bella at the Piano Academy of the Marche in Recanati.
She has participated in various piano competitions, obtaining numerous first prizes, including the “Coppa Pianisti d’Italia” in Osimo, the “International Competition of the Adriatic” in Ancona, the “Young Musicians Competition” of Camerino, the “Rospigliosi Piano Competition” in Lamporecchio (Pistoia), the “MiRo” of Brescia, the “Valle Bormida” Piano Competition in Terzo (AL), the “Nuova coppa pianisti” Piano Competition in Osimo. In 2016 she won the first prize at the National Piano Competition “La palma d’oro” of San Benedetto del Tronto (AP) and the national piano competition “Città di Bucchianico” (CH).
She has given recitals for important concert organizations and associations, such as the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, the “Società dei Concerti” in Milan, the association “Amici della Musica – Guido Michelli” of Ancona at the Ridotto del Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, the association “Conoscere la musica” of Bologna at the “Sala Bossi” of the Conservatory “G.B. Martini” in Bologna, the ArteinMusica association at the “Annibal Caro” Theater in Civitanova Marche, Fazioli pianos at the Milan Showroom, the Pianissimo association of Morbegno, the Cultural Center association at the Mugellini Theater as part of the prestigious “Mugellini Festival” in Potenza Picena, the auditorium “World Center of Poetry” of Recanati, the Municipal Theater of Caldarola, the “San Rocco” Auditorium of Senigallia, Villa Nappi of Polverigi, the “Marini” auditorium of Falconara M.ma etc.
She often performs in chamber ensembles together with other instrumentalists and also engages in the accompaniment of opera singers. Since 2019 she plays permanently with the cellist Chiara Burattini, with whom she founded Ankon duo, and since 2022 she collaborates with the Italian violinist Davide Alogna.
In 2012 she was awarded for artistic merits, the international award “Universum Donna” by the Universum Academy (Università della Pace Svizzera Italiana), with which she was awarded the title of Noblewoman and received the mandate of Ambassador of Peace. In the same year, always for artistic merits, she received a plaque from the Marche Region along with the Olympic champions, Valentina Vezzali and Elisa Di Francisca, for representing the Marche region at national and international level.
Since 2014 she has also dedicated herself to teaching music. In 2016 she passed the national exams for teaching in public schools and since 2017 she holds a permanent position as a piano teacher at the “B. Zucchi” Music School in Monza (Italy).
