Luca Cianciotta, born in Bari in 2003, began his piano studies at the age of 7 and continued them, starting in 2015, with Maestro Luigi Ceci, at the N. Piccinni Conservatory in Bari, where he obtained his first-level academic diploma, with a grade of 110 cum laude and honourable mention, in the class of Maestro Emanuele Arciuli. He continues to improve with M° Luigi Ceci and M° Pierluigi Camicia at the Annual Piano Masters organised by the Ass. Auditorium at the Parco della Musica Sant’Achille in Molfetta. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Young ‘Excellencies’ of the N. Piccinni Conservatory in Bari.
He has participated in numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned masters, including Pavel Gililov, Daniel Rivera, Michele Marvulli, Pierluigi Camicia, Riccardo Risaliti, Andrea Lucchesini and Konstantin Lifschitz. In 2018, he took part in the ‘Livorno Summer Music Festival’ and has gained a scholarship by the P. Mascagni Conservatory of Livorno, which recognised his outstanding musical abilities, despite his young age. As part of the 2021 edition of the Festival, he performed alongside maestro Daniel Rivera in the concert ‘Liszt il divo’, dedicated entirely to the Hungarian composer’s music.
Winner of a special audition, he held a recital for the ‘Bari Piano Festival’ ed. 2019, at the Circolo della Vela in Bari, in which he also performed a piece by maestro Massimo De Lillo in
a world premiere. He has participated several times in the ‘Musica giovani’ review organised by the Camerata Musicale Barese, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, also inaugurating the 2023 edition. He also performed in the 11th edition of ‘Fausto Zadra’ Piano Festival and in the 15th concert season organised by the Giovanni Colafemmina Association of Acquaviva delle Fonti (BA).
Since his childhood, he has achieved excellent results in many national and international competitions and, among the most recent, the 1st prize at the 33rd International Piano Competition “Città di Albenga”, 1st absolute prize at the 5th International Piano Competition – “Young Pianists” prize Città di Acquaviva delle Fonti, 1st prize at the XXII Lams Matera 2022 Prize, 1st absolute prize at the 2nd National Piano Competition “Ezio Bosso”, in which he won a concert at the West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge (England). He received the “S. Pettini” Prize at the 7th International Piano Competition “La Palma d’Oro” in San Benedetto del Tronto as the youngest competitor finalist.
He is a member of the Apulian Youth Simphony Orchestra (AYSO), winner of the “Summa Cum Laude Youth Music Festival” edition 2022, held in the prestigious Musikverein in Vienna.
