Born in Erice in 1999, Laura Sabella obtained the 1st level Academic Diploma in violin in March 2021 with 110 cum laude at the “A. Scontrino” Conservatory of Trapani and on June 27, 2022 she obtained the 2nd level Diploma with 110 cum laude with honorable mention, under the guidance of Maestro Donato Cuciniello. In 2020 she obtained the 24 CFA for teaching.
She has participated in violin and chamber music Masterclasses with internationally renowned Maestros such as Francesco De Angelis, Demetrio Comuzzi, Ilja Marinkovic, Daniela Cammarano, Stefano Pagliani, Marco Lamberti, Sergio Lamberto and Francesco Dillon.
In 2014 she ranked first for “chamber music” in the national competitions “Benedetto Albanese” of Caccamo and “Premio Città di Calascibetta”.
From 2014 to 2018 she was part of the International Youth Symphony Orchestra “Fedele Fenaroli” of Lanciano in the role of 1st violin.
From 2016 to 2019 she was a member of the Sicilian Youth Symphony Orchestra in the role of 1st violin, with the aforementioned orchestra she participated in numerous productions at the Teatro Politeama in Palermo. Following a second audition held among the violinists of the Sicilian Youth Symphony, she won a scholarship and the violin part in the quartet of “Le magie della realtà” by Eliodoro Sollima.
In July 2017, with the Sicilian Youth Symphony Orchestra, she took on the role of 1st violin for all productions until 2019.
Since November 2018, after passing the audition at the Fiesole School of Music, she has joined the Italian Youth Orchestra, participating in various concerts conducted by Maestro Daniele Gatti. She also participated in the performance of the opera La Bohème by Puccini, in the role of 1st violin in the theaters: Goldoni in Livorno, Verdi in Pisa and Teatro del Giglio in Lucca conducted by Maestro Gianna Fratta.
Also with the Italian Youth Orchestra, she participated in the concert for the Republic Day at the Quirinale in front of President Mattarella conducted by Maestro Marco Angius. He also played at the Spoleto Festival under the direction of M°Pierre André Valade and at the Ravello Festival conducted by Jérémie Rhorer and at the Sud-Tirol Festival conducted by M°Alexander Lonquich.
From July 2019 to June 2022 he was part of the ONCI, National Orchestra of Italian Conservatories, in the role of Shoulder of the seconds and concertino of the first violins. In October 2021 with the aforementioned orchestra he participated in the opening concert of the EXPO Dubai 2020.
In March 2021 he passed the audition to be part of the orchestra of the Luglio Musicale Trapanese with which he continues to collaborate in all the summer productions in the role of first violin at the theaters of the city. Always with the same organization he participated in the quartet formation of the operas “Traviata” and “Il barbiere di Siviglia” in the role of first violin.
In August 2022, after a careful selection, she participated in the masterclass of Maestro Francesco De Angelis, first violin of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, at the “Tibor Varga Academy” in Sion, Switzerland.
From October 2022 to June 2023, she served as a violin teacher at the “Adelaide Cairoli” Music High School in Pavia.
In July 2023, she again participated in the masterclass of Maestro Francesco De Angelis at the “Tibor Varga Academy” in Sion, Switzerland.
From October 13 to November 2, she was engaged with the orchestra of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo for the production of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, under the direction of Maestro Riccardo Muti.
Since January 2024 she has been engaged by the Teatro Massimo for the productions: Symphonic concert in the Foyer 13 and 14 January, Rigoletto, Symphonic concert 3 March, Madama Butterfly, Cenerentola, Symphonic concert of 2 March, The Tale of Tristan and Isolde, Symphonic concert of 30 March, Les pecheurs de perles, Symphonic concert of 28 April, Tristan und Isolde, Lady be good, Quattro canti per Santa Rosalia, Immersive concert, Carmina Burana, Rhapsody and Moves concert, Beethoven concert, Cinematic Chanson concert, Carmen.
