The Italian pianist Jacopo Giovannini has been regarded as an exceptional, highly gifted artist since his earliest childhood: he began learning the piano at the age of four and won his first international competition just one year later. At the age of six he gave his first public recital at the Palazzo Barberini in Rome, and at the age of 11 he made his orchestral debut playing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in the Great Shostakovich Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic under the baton of Anatoly Rybalko and the Saint Petersburg Symphony Orchestra. He appears regularly at international music festivals, including the Macklemburg Vorpommen Festival, Amici della musica di Perugia, the Tuscia Opera Festival, the Lisztomanias Festival in Chateauroux and Paris, and the Reate Festival in Rieti, where he performed Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Teatro Flavio Vespasiano, conducted by Kent Nagano and the Tafelmusik Orchestra. Last season he gave numerous concerts (chamber music and solo) in Italy (Trieste, Verona, Bolzano and Florence), Germany (Hanover, Munich, Schwerin, Bremen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Lindau), Austria (Salzburg, Arlberg), at the Atheneum of Bucharest and at the National Opera of Tirana. He performed Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the EY Young Talent Orchestra and was invited to a concert tour with the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra as part of the Piano Festival of Young Masters, which took him to the Konzerthaus Ravensburg, the Stadttheater Lindau and the Kleiner Goldener Saal in Augsburg, among other venues. Born in Rome in 1997, Jacopo Giovannini graduated with highest honours from the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia at the age of 14, followed by further master classes in Italy. Since 2016 he has been studying and now finishing his masters with Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the renowned Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre in the class of Prof. Boris Kusnezow. He received artistic impulses by Professors, Andrea Bonatta, Jacques Rouvier, Antti Siirala. He is currently enrolled at the University of Koln in the class of Prof. Martinez Mehner.
