Irene Girgenti

Irene Girgenti, born in Palermo in 2003, began playing the violin at the age of 6 with Maestro Nicolò Lipari, pursuing then with Maestro Silviu Dima, first violin in the Teatro Massimo, in Palermo. Graduating with laude from “Toscanini” Conservatory in Ribera, under the guidance of Maestro Marcello Manco, she has currently completed the first year of the second level degree course at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome, under the guidance of Maestro Giuliano Bisceglia.

Since 2016 she has been attending the annual course held by Maestro Felice Cusano, in Naples.

Moreover, she has attended Masterclasses held by Felice Cusano (2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022); Alessandro Moccia (2022); Roberto Ranfaldi (2018 e 2019); Boris Belkin (2021); Alessandro Milani (2023), Dejan Bogdanovich (2023).

She ranked among the first places participating in national completitions such as Concorso Internazionale in Campobello di Licata (2016 e 2017); Concorso Nazionale di Musica “Ama Eventi-Armonie Sicane”, Bivona (2018); Concorso Nazionale per Giovani Musicisti di Caccamo (2019); Concorso per Giovani Musicisti “Peppuccia Linares Villani” di Mazara del Vallo (2019); Concorso Musicale Nazionale “Città di Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto” (2019).

From 2014 to 2018 she was first violin in the young Orchestra “Mediterraneo Ensemble”, conducted by Maestro Nicolò Lipari, performing in over 25 concerts in Churches, Schools, Auditorium and the Teatro Samonà, in Sciacca.

She performed both as a soloist and as a chamber musician on the occasion of several and important cultural events, organized by entities and associations in Italy. In 2020 she performed with string quartet in Rome, Piazza di Montecitorio, on occasion of a national event. In 2020 and 2021 she partecipated, with Symphony Orchestra “A. Toscanini” conducted by Mastro A. Maniaci, to the opening concert of the festival “Le Dionisiache” in the prestigious greek theatre in Calatafimi- Segesta, and in 2022 in the ancient Theatre in Taormina.

Since 2021 to 2022 she was member of the Orchestra Nazionale dei Conservatori Italiani dicembre 2021, performing in the following events: “Opera Extravaganza” Concert in Dubai, in Wasl Plaza, in the context of Expo, organized by Minister of University and Research; april 2022, Concerto dei Parchi, held at Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone”, in Rome, organized by National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise and by Gran Paradiso Park, in collaboration with Minister of University and Research; december 2022, Concert held in Rome at Auditorium della Conciliazione, organized by Minister of University and Research.
