Giorgia Saito
Biography

Giorgia Saito is an italian violinist born in Catania (Italy) in 2001. She started playing at seven years old and after she attended the Bellini Conservatory.
In October 2021 she graduated at the “Bruno Maderna Conservatory” in Cesena, with full marks and honors. She is currently attending the Master course at the “Peri-Merulo” Conservatory of Reggio Emilia”, in the class of Prof. Alessandro Ferrari. Furthermore, from January 2022 she is also attending the Advanced Music Course at the “Pinerolo Music Accademy”, in the class of Prof. Lukas Hagen.
She attended various masterclasses with renowned professors such as Florin Paul, Christian Altenburger, Ilya Grubert, Kirill Troussov, Robert Kowalski, Emanuele Benfenati, Stefano Pagliani, Franco Mezzena, Maurizio Sciarretta, Reiko Barbara Oberhummer.
She also played with famous soloists such as Steven Vaglica, Olga Arzilli, Florin Paul, Francesco Pepicelli, Ulrike Hoffmann, Daniele Petralia, Franco Mezzena, Dimitra Theodossiou, Luca Franzetti.
Regarding the orchestral experiences, she took part of the “Young Musicians European Orchestra“, “ Italian Strings School Symphonic Orchestra”, “Bruno Maderna Orchestra”, “Lanciano International Symphonic Orchestra”, “Guido d’Arezzo Symphonic Orchestra”, “Orchestra Senzaspine”. As a chamber musician she played with the “Ensemble Metamorphosen”, “I Musici di Parma”, “Gli archi del Maderna e del Titano”, “Sherazade chamber orchestra”, the baroque ensemble of Peri-Merulo Conservatory in Reggio Emilia and with “Solisti Filarmonici Italiani”.
As soloist she played the Schubert Rondo D. 438 with the “Cilento National Park Orchestra”, P.I. Tchaikovsky “Souvenir d’un lieu cher” with the “Musica nei Borghi Orchestra”, the Mozart concerto in A Major KV. 219 during the “Tivoli in Classic Music Festival” and Mozart’s Concerto in D major KV. 218, during the Summer Music Festival in Montecosaro.
Since June 2022 she has been collaborating with the “Senzaspine Orchestra” of Bologna, directed by Daniele Gatti and Luciano Acocella, hosted during Accademia Chigiana festival 2022.
In March she took part to a live recording for Sky Classica of the contemporary piece “Aquilarco” by Giovanni Sollima, with cellist Luca Franzetti. In July 2023 she partecipates to the chamber music festival “Musicae Civitas” in Reggio Emilia, playing the “Schumann piano quintet” and “Histoire du Soldat” by Stravinsky.
