Giacomo Desiderio Sbalchiero
Biography

In 2022 I achieved the II level Master in Clarinet at “J. Tomadini Conservaatory”, Udine,  with professor Nicola Bulfone, with grade of 110/110 cum laude, in the academic year 2020/21 I attended the annual Secialization Course in Clarinet, Fiesole Music School, with Prof. G. Ricucci, First Clarinet of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and of the Orchestra della Toscana. In 2021 I attended the Erasmus plus Mobility Program: Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Ostrava (Czech Republic) – Clarinet with Prof. Igor Františak and in April 2023 I reached the Eligibility for the Certificate of Performance Clarinet, MUK – Music and Arts University, Vienna.
In these years I perfected myself by taking internships and masterclasses, including international ones. I would like to highlight the most recent ones: October 2023, specialization workshop for Orchestra Profession – Pinerolo Music Academy; July 2023, with prof. Charles Neidich, Juilliard School, New York; February – March 2023 with maestro R. Wieser, first clarinet of the Wiener Symphoniker and teacher at the MUK in Vienna; August 2022 with prof. Caroline Hartig, clarinet teacher at Ohio University; April 2022, with prof. Guntis Kuzma, Riga Music Academy; February 2022 with prof. Gabor Varga, University of Budapest; May 2020, with Prof. Alessandro Carbonare, professor at the Accademia di S. Cecilia, Rome; August 2019, in Chamber Music with maestro Vladimir Mendelssohn;  March 2018, with maestro Karl Leister, former soloist of the Berliner Philarmoniker; August 2018, residential specialization course with Maestro Calogero Palermo, in Riva del Garda, Italy,
I played with different orchestral ensembles, including the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava (Czech Republic) in 2022 and the Wind Orchestra of Udine, Italy in 2019, with ensembles for chamber music and as a soloist.

I qualified in national and international competitions.

TEACHING SKILLS
In my curriculum of studying I have also specific courses in Musical Psychology, Musical Pedagogy, General Didactics and Clarinet Teaching, I have experience of individual teaching in Clarinet, I attended the four-month Orff-Schulwerk Training Course (4CFU) (September/December 2023), held by the teachers of SIMEOS, member of the Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg and training body accredited by the MIUR.
