Born in Messina on 1st April 1997, the same day as Ferruccio Busoni and Sergej Rachmaninov, famous pianists and composers and also important references in his future studies, he started studying piano when he was 10 years old and received the first lessons at 11 from M° Riccardo Franza in Spadafora at the musical address “Giuseppe Verdi” middle school.
Just a few months after that he was admitted as first classified at the “Arcangelo Corelli” Music Conservatory in Messina where he studied under the guidance of M° Alessandro Riggi, pianist and composer tragically died a few years after, and graduated at 18 with full marks and laude under the supervision of M° Dario Emanuele Aricò.
He took part in numerous musical national and international competitions always obtaining good results (“Placido Mandanici” of Barcellona P.G. 1st prize, “Pasquale Benintende” of Reggio Calabria 1st absolute prize and special prize, “Giuseppe Raciti” of Viagrande 1st absolute prize, “Gianluca Campochiaro” of Pedara 1st prize, “Giuseppe Perrotta” of Nicolosi 1st absolute prize, “A.M.A. Calabria” of Lamezia Terme 1st prize, “Tuttarte” Gravina di Catania 1st absolute prize, “Savoca città d’arte” 1st absolute prize, “Bach” Venetico Superiore 1st prize, “Nellina Cappellani Costa” of Catania 1st absolute prize and special prize for the best competitor…).
In 2016 he won the third prize at the 33rd edition of “Premio Venezia” at Venice’s “La Fenice” theatre.
He held recitals all over Italy (“Palazzo Pulvirenti” Pedara, “Salone degli Specchi” Giarre, “Palazzo Ducale” Gela, “Chiesa dell’Immacolata” Venetico Superiore, “Teatro Urania” Regalbuto, “Chiesa Sacro Cuore” Spadafora, “Teatro Dario Fo” Camponogara, “Sala Concerti” Massa Marittima, “Teatro Vittorio Emanuele” Messina…) and abroad (“Comunità degli Italiani” Rijeka, Croatia).
He moreover took part in piano masterclasses with Vovka Ashkenazy, Marcella Crudeli, Vincenzo Balzani, Violetta Egorova, Epifanio Comis, Naum Grubert, Eduardo Hubert and in particular Massimiliano Valenti, with whom he also attended various annual high master courses and Pier Narciso Masi with whom he brilliantly pursued the Diploma of high studies in piano at “Centro Studi Musica e Arte” in Florence with full marks in 2021.
