Andrea Fucà
Biography

Andrea Fucà was born on the 22nd January 2002 in Vibo Valentia. He started studying piano with his mother when he was five. He carried on his studies at the “Fausto Torrefranca” conservatory in Vibo Valentia where he graduated, under the guidance of Professor Paolo Pollice, with the maximum grade cum laude on the 30th of July 2020.
In spite of his young age, he participated in several piano competitions, always gaining the first place: 38th national music competition A.M.A. Calabria in Lamezia Terme (CZ); 3rd national music competition “Senocrito” in Locri (RC); 16th national music competition “Orfeo Stillo” in Paola (CS); 21st national music competition “Euterpe” in Corato (BA). From the 6th to the 8th of July 2018 he participated in the third edition of the masterclass of piano skills improvement by the cultural association “Armonie Sicane” in collaboration with A.M.A. Eventi with Professor Paolo Pollice in Bivona (AG). In September 2018 and in August 2019 he attended the masterclasses by the cultural association “Polygonon”, held in Campli (TE).
In April 2019, thanks to being ranked among the first places in the audition that the “Fausto Torrefranca” Conservatory held for solo pianists, he performed with the orchestra of the same Institute. He played at the concert for piano and orchestra K488 in La maggiore by W.A. Mozart held at the Santa Chiara Auditorium in Tropea (VV) on the 18th of May of the same year. At the same Conservatory, in July 2019 he stood up as the winner of the scholarship provided by Regione Calabria for deserving students which allowed him to attend the improvement piano Masterclass at Fisiciano University (SA) at the “Falaut Campus” with Professor Massimo Severino. On the 28th July 2020 he performed in a piano recital by the Spirito Santo Auditorium in Vibo Valentia proposing tracks from Beethoven, Chopin, Frack, Debussy and Skrjabin.
