Born in Milan (Italy) in 1997, Amalia Castoldi has a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from Civica Scuola Claudio Abbado (2023; Milan, Italy) and a Master’s degree at the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi of Como (2023 – 2024) while pursuing further studies in contemporary music at the Academy of Pinerolo under the guidance of the pianist Emanuele Arciuli and Giovanni Doria Miglietta.
She regularly attends piano masterclasses with esteemed international pianists like Dorian Britton, Roberto Prosseda, Carlo Balzaretti, Roberto Plano, Giovanni Bellucci, Maria Grazia Bellocchio; masterclass in contemporary music with Francesco Prode, masterclass in chamber music with Trio Kanon, Tommaso Lonquich. Her talents have been recognized with prizes in various competitions (Cortemilia International Piano competition 2018, 3° concorso nazionale Maurice Ravel, Platina International Grand Prize IV edition, Premio Rospigliosi 2022, Concorso Nazionale Massa Carrara 2022)
and she has been playing as soloist in classical music festivals and venues across Italy including Piano City Milano, Piano City Trieste, “Flying notes” organized by Fazioli, “Young Talents” at the Mutuo Soccorso Theatre in Imperia, “Summer Music Mestival” by Suoni D’Autore, “Casa Boschi di Stefano” in Milano, “Musica d’Estate” organized by Pinerolo Academy, recital at the Auditorium of the Revoltella Museum in Trieste, recital at RAI sede regionale Friuli Venezia Giulia.
In 2022 Amalia recorded a commercial for DHL and FIAT playing the first tempo of Mozart’s piano sonata K331.
